If you would like your organization to be listed on the Fair World Project mission-driven brands website and believe your organization complies with the criteria, please complete the online application form. Please note that there is a $50 non-refundable application fee(fee is waived for organizations that are certified by the SPP or a member of the Fair Trade Federation, World Fair Trade Organization or Cooperative Coffees). Feel free to contact us with questions. Incomplete applications can not be completed.
After we receive your complete application we will contact you regarding its status within 30 days.
Criteria to be listed on the Fair World Project mission driven brands web page and for the potential of participating in our retailer programs (optional – additional criteria needed).
Step 1: Member of Fair Trade Federation, World Fair Trade Organization, Cooperative Coffees or Domestic Fair Trade Association and/or certified by an eco-social certification* at 70% or above of product line with use of the all that can be policy in all products.
Step 2: Full commitment to small-scale farmers with proof via references from farmer/producer groups and posted statements (Assumed to meet this requirement if certified by the Small Producer Symbol (SPP), or member of WFTO, FTF or Coop Coffees)
Step 3: FWP reviews packaging and promotional materials for proof of accuracy in labeling. We will spot check on our own or ask organization to submit samples
Step 4: Brand is not actively supporting policies that harm small-scale producers such as current free trade agreements and are not a member of an organization that is actively supporting these policies. Brand is to submit a list of organizations that do lobby, political, or advocacy work they support either as a member or via financial donations.
*Eco-social certifications include: Fairtrade International, Small Producer Symbol, Fair for Life, Fair Trade USA, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, Ecocert, IBD, Food Justice Certified.
