Citizens Trade Campaign

CTC is national coalition of environmental, labor, consumer, family farm, and religious groups that promote an alternative vision to the neoliberal model of globalization. The coalition promotes international trade policies that uphold economic justice, human rights, consumer safety, and environmental sustainability.

CLAC

CLAC-Logo CLAC is The Latin American and Caribbean Network of Small Fair Trade Producers. CLAC represents nearly 300 democratically organized small producer organizations from twenty countries throughout Latin America. These organizations are comprised of over 200,000 families and small producers. CLAC helps support, strengthen, and develop the capacity of its members.

Coalition of Immakolee Workers

ciw CIW organizes laborers, educates consumers, and targets bad actors in the food system. To date, eleven multi-billion dollar corporations have bowed to their pressure and signed a code of conduct that has translated into the improvement of working conditions and income for tens of thousands of farm workers and their families.

Cooperative Coffees

Coop-coffees-logoCooperative Coffees is a coffee-importing coop comprised of 23 roasters from the United States and Canada. Cooperative Coffees maintains relationships with coffee growers from around the world and imports their high quality coffee on fair trade terms.

Domestic Fair Trade Association

DFTA_logo The Domestic Fair Trade Association is composed of organizations representing farmers, farm workers, food system workers, retailers, manufacturers, processors, and non-governmental organizations. DFTA’s primary goal is to support family-scale farming, reinforce farmer-led initiatives such as farmer co-operatives, and to bring these groups together with mission-based traders, retailers, and concerned consumers to contribute to the movement for sustainable agriculture in North America.

Fair Trade Federation

While promoting the fully committed businesses, FTF seeks to alleviate poverty by expanding the practice of trade that values the labor and dignity of all people.

Fairtrade Africa

Fairtrade Africa is the body that represents fair trade producers in the 28 participating African countries within Fairtrade International. The body also helps support, strengthen, and develop the capacity of its members.

Family Farm Defenders

FFD’s mission is to create a farmer-controlled and consumer-oriented food and fiber system, based upon democratically controlled institutions that empower family farmers.

Food Chain Workers Alliance

Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy

IATP-logoIATP is a research and advocacy organization that works locally and globally at the intersection of policy and practice to ensure fair and sustainable food, farm, and trade systems. IATP founded Peace Coffee Roasters as well as Transfair USA, now Fair Trade USA.

International Labor Rights Forum

ILRF-Logo The ILRF is a U.S. based organization that advocates for just and humane treatment of workers worldwide. Projects include ending child labor, protecting the rights for working women, ending sweatshop conditions, and protecting works’ ability to organize.

La Via Campesina

Organic Consumers Association

This includes several thousand businesses in the natural foods and organic marketplace. The OCA champions campaigns for health, justice, and sustainability while challenging industrial agriculture and corporate consolidation of the global economy.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters

int-brotherhood-of-teamsters The Teamsters was founded in 1903 and is a leading labor union in the U.S. and Canada comprised of over one million members. Together, the Teamsters pressure corporations to pay a fairer share of profits with workers from dozens of industries.

UNITE HERE

UNITE HERE is composed of over a quarter million organized workers that pressure corporations to pay a fairer share of profits to its workers.

United Farm Workers

UFW_logoUFW is a farm worker union that rose to prominence under Cezar Chavez’s leadership over 50 years ago. With a little over 5,000 members, UFW continues to organize agriculture workers across the U.S.

United Food and Commercial Workers

UFCW-logoUFCW is a labor union representing over one million workers from retail and grocery stores as well as the food processing and meat packing industry. The union pressures corporations to pay a fairer share of profits with their workers.

United Students Against Sweatshops (USAS)

USAS- logoUnited Students Against Sweatshops (USAS) is the nation’s largest youth-led, student labor campaign organization, with affiliated locals on over 150 campuses. USAS affiliates run both local and nationally-coordinated campaigns for economic justice in partnership with worker and community organizations. Since 1997, USAS has won precedent-setting campaigns, educated students about the growing dominance of corporations in the globalized economy, as well as the intersectionality of identity and social justice issues with the labor movement, and has trained tens of thousands of young activists to become skilled organizers, researchers, and campaigners in labor and social justice organizations.
